This type of temperature control is achieved by integrating external sensors. The ambient temperature can be measured first with our high-quality outdoor sensors, after which the devices act directly on the heating system by transmitting signals. This causes the heating water temperature to be lowered when the outdoor temperature rises, or the heating water to warm up at low ambient temperatures.
In this way, it is possible to heat an apartment or house more energy-efficiently and to compensate for possible insulation deficits. When installing the outdoor temperature sensor it is important to choose a shady place far from external energy sources to avoid affecting the functionality.

Sensor elements with variable shape expand when heated, allowing for example the control of the incoming heating water in the radiator. This is the simplest type of temperature sensor, it is very effective and is used in many thermostats.
Other specimens consist of metal strips of different materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion. For this reason, they bend and can trigger certain processes in control elements - they are called bi-metal sensors and are used in 2-point controllers.
So-called immersion sensors can, for example, also consist of elements with variable resistances. In this way, the temperature is controlled and measured by changing the resistances, which are transmitted to the controller by means of signals.
